1. Organize Clothes in a Smart Way.
By Color:
Brights and Jewel Tones: There is the group of very vivid reds, fuchsias, emeralds, and royal blues.
Darks Blacks, navies, charcoals, and deep browns.
Prints and Patterns: Separate multi colored prints, particularly new ones that can be bled.

2. Learn the Art of Pre-Treatment.
Identify Your Stain Type:
Cooking Oil (oil-based makeup, lipstick, body oils, etc.):
Dish soap should be applied to the stain.
Finger Massage into cloth.
Allow to be left for 10-15 minutes then wash.
As an alternative, apply baking soda paste on hard to remove stains.
Fruits and Vegetables (tea, coffee, wine, fruit juice):

It is recommended to treat stains in 24 hours.
Removers of the stain should always be tested on concealed seams.
Do not rub hard, dry on or tap.
Hold fabric tight so as not to distort.
Do not place required treatment items in the dryer until all traces of stain are removed.
3. Fail Proof Your Water Temperature Choice.
Warm Water (90-110°F / 32-43°C):

Cold Water (60-80°F / 15-27°C):

Temperature Selection Tips:
Cold water is safe on most fabrics so when you are not sure, use cold water.
Cold water is energy saving and not harmful to the environment.
The best detergent activity on regular loads is with warm water.
Care labels on garments always go through before deciding on the temperature.
4. Apply the correct amount of detergent.
Detergent Selection Guide:
Delicates: Gentle, ph-neutral liquid detergent is used.
Darks: Optical bright enzyme-free detergent free of optical brighteners.
Whites: Brightening agent detergent.
Silk & Woolens: Special dainty cloth laundry.
Ethnic Wear: Mild hand block print detergent and natural dye detergent.
Additional Detergent Tips:
Powder detergent should be pre-dissolved into water before being added to delicates.
Less is more- too much detergent will create a residue which will attract dirt.
Apply non fragrant ones on sensitive skin.

5. Smart Fabric Softener Usage
When to Use Fabric Softener:
Day-to-day cotton clothes, tunics, and casual dresses.

Best Practices:
Apply 1/4 -1/3 of the suggested amount.
Add concentrated softeners in water.
Not to add at the rinse cycle, but detergent.
